About LI SELF
Our Mission
The Long Island Social Emotional Literacy Forum,
(LI SELF) is a volunteer group of experienced educators committed to facilitating the distribution of information and resources related to social emotional learning, mental wellness, and the creation of safe and supportive schools for students, staff, and caregivers.
Since 2004, LI SELF has sponsored a wide variety of forums and conferences to share the expertise, ideas and concerns of our Long Island school communities. We enjoy networking LI educators with like-minded education & mental health professionals nationally & internationally.
Contribute to the New LI Best Practices Sharing Site
LI SELF, in collaboration with the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents has created the new Creating Well-Being Sharing Site, which will be hosted on the LISELF website and include best practices from NY State Schools and Mental Health Organizations. All New York State Public & Private Schools & Mental Health Organizations working with NY State Schools are invited to submit their mental wellness initiatives for publication on the Sharing Site.
